You should find out your Mother-in-law to be favorites- perfume, flowers, candy,etc- and have a special basket made for her for the suite that she will be staying in. It should be there when the bride's group arrives at the hotel or wherever they will dress for the wedding.

Father-in-laws are tricky because they are losing their "princess"- so make sure that he knows she will always be his princess and you intend to treat her as your "queen"- this can be done with a dress up crown in a box, beautifully wrapped and a hand written note from you to him.

Bridal jewelry is a very popular thing to give your bride to wear for the wedding day.  But add a twist of something- maybe it's a beautiful clutch bag to carry after the wedding for a special night out during your honeymoon and thereafter. Or  something for your honeymoon- say new luggage tags with her new name on them. Maybe it's something from your honeymoon- Mine was a beautiful Irish linen embrodiered tablecloth that I could use when entertaining family and firends-especially for the holidays season.

It is hard to think about the perfect gift for your groomsmen- so think of it in terms of something they will use- and remember what a good friend you guys are. So maybe it's their favorite sports jersey. Or maybe it's a set of glasses with their intials on them. How about a Swiss Army knife with their name engraved? Have you seen those cuff links that have pieces of wood from stadium seats from old ball parks? perfect for the baseball nut. Maybe it's a sports duffel with a luggage tag that could be used for traveling, the gym or quick weekend trips. A gift I bought my future husband was a leather "cowboy" hat- he still loves it today, especially in the Fall.

Help your Mom with the plans for the rehersal dinner. I had  MOG (mother of the groom) ask me for help planning the rehersal dinner. I had lots of information to work with- the couple were out-doorsy- they loved the woods- they liked to canoe. So for the dinner, we had miniature birch bark canoes made to hold the placecards- we had a vintage picture of two canoes floating in a lake and had them made into cards, which we asked everyone to write a simple and brief piece of advice for the new couple. We had the same artist make a special birch bark lidded box so that all these cards could be deposited there, and then the happy couple would have them to read forever.
